Daniel H. Kern

Daniel H. Kern, formerly of Lehighton, passed away peacefully on Saturday October 28, 2017 in Pottsville, Pennsylvania at the age of 70. Survived by his wife of 37 years, Donna M. (Kresge) Kern; sons, Dustin Kern and his wife Aimee of Lehighton, Larry Salter and his wife Sarah of Palmerton; sisters, Narah Snyder wife of Robert of Lehighton, and Linda Roos wife of Vince of Lehighton; brother, David Kern and his wife Linda of Lehighton; grandchildren, Zoe and Krystal; niece, Crimsin Cantwell. A Lehighton High School graduate, Dan retired from the Lehighton Post Office as a rural postal carrier. Upon retirement he and Donna moved to Leesburg Florida in 2011, where he became active as a member of the Mud Gang, a group of residents who tended to their development.  Dan was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a longtime member of Zion Stone Church of West Penn Township. Born in Lehighton on April 18, 1947, the son of the late Harland, and Vera (Snyder) Kern. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to the Robert S. Russell Campbell to officiate.
