Daniel F. Geissinger, Jr.

Daniel F. Geissinger, Jr., 86 years of age of Penn Street, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 25, 2017, at Blue Mountain Health Systems, Gnaden Huetten Campus Lehighton, Pennsylvania.
Surviving are sons, Daniel F. Geissinger, III of Lehighton and his wife Jill, Barry A. Geissinger of Catasaqua; daughter, Brenda L. Geissinger and her companion Lawrence Joffe of White Haven; grand children, Laurel Steigerwalt and her husband Zachary, Daniel F. IV, Cecelia, Dallas, and Jack Geissinger; great grand child, Brynlee.
A Tamaqua High School graduate, Dan had worked for Allen Organ of Macungie for many years. he was a member of St. John U.C.C. of Tamaqua, and was a long time scout leader and committee member of Troop 777 of Tamaqua. A member of The Citizens Fire Company, Dan enjoyed collecting model trains, and woodworking.
Born Friday, September 12, 1930 in Tamaqua, Pennsylvania the son of the late Daniel F. Geissinger, Sr., and Alice (Scheitrumpf) Geissinger, he was also predeceased by his wife Phyllis D. (Faust) Geissinger on June 20, 2001; sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Turner, and an infant sister Doris.
Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. of 655 East Broad Street, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania. (570) 668-2550
A Funeral service will be held on Thursday June 29, 2017 at 12 o'clock noon from the funeral home, Rev. Kevin Duffy-Guy to officiate. Friends shall be received at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 10:30 A.M. until time of services.
Interment will be in Odd Fellows, Tamaqua, PA.
