Dale R. Thierer, 68 years of age, of Emmaus, passed away Friday, November 14, 2014, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Salisbury Twp..
Survived by his wife, Sara J. "Sally" (Piper) Thierer.
A 1964 Allentown High School graduate, Dale enlisted in the United States Army serving honorably during the Vietnam War. Returning home he worked as a mechanic for a number of Lehigh Valley auto dealerships, last working for Kelly Buick. Dale drove Top fuel Dragsters, and was 1971 Division 1 Champion. A founding member of Tamaqua Youth Soccer, he served as President, and had coached.
Born in Allentown, the son of the late Orville, and Elsie (Pennepacker) Thierer.
In addition to his wife he is survived by;

Cathi (Thierer) Kratzer wife of Richard of Mertztown,
Laura K. Thierer and her companion Stephen Seladones of Emmaus;
Son:
Adam R. Thierer and his Fiancée Jennifer of Tamaqua;
Sister:
Barbara (Thierer) Rapchak wife of Paul of Whitehall;
Seven Grand Children;
Alana, Ella, Sean, Anthony, Melissa, Mandy, and Clara;
Grand dogs;
Bert & Ernie;
Preceded in death by his daughter, Amanda S. Thierer on June 5, 2007.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Robert S. Nester Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2066 West Penn Pike, Rte.# 309, New Ringgold, PA
A Gathering of Friends will be held from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Saturday, November 22, 2014 from the funeral home, with Military Honors to follow.
Private interment, Garden of Peace Cemetery, Whitehall, Pennsylvania.
