Curtis R. Merkel, Jr.

Curtis R. Merkel,Jr., 53 years of age passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, in Andreas, Pennsylvania in the care of his family.

A 1980 Tamaqua High School graduate, Curtis owned and operated C. Merkel Small Engine Repair in Schuylkill Haven. Curtis worshipped at Zion's of Lewistown Valley.

An avid Oakland Raiders football fan, Curtis enjoyed camping, boating, and fishing with his family. His constant companion and best buddy was his dog Toast.

Born Thursday, April 26, 1962, son of Myrtle E. (Smith) Merkel of Andreas, and the late Curtis R. Merkel, Sr. who passed away on Sept. 15, 2004.

Mrs. Barbara S. Weaver wife of Albert of Andreas;

Kay Yoder;

Niece,
Megan L. Witkus.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Robert S. Nester Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. Rte. #309, 2066 West Penn Pike New Ringgold, Pennsylvania 17960.

A Gathering of friends will take place at the Robert S. Nester Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. on Sunday evening June 21, 2015 from 6 to 8:00 P.M., and on Monday morning June 22, 2015 from 9:00 A.M. until time of services.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 22, 2015 from the funeral home at 10 o'clock A.M, Rev. James Williams to officiate.

Private interment.
