Curt O. Wertman

Curt O. Wertman, husband, father, and grandfather, age 89, of East Penn Twp., Lehighton, died Saturday, May 4, 2013, at Blue Mountain Health Systems in Lehighton.

Survived by his wife of 66 years, Mable E. (Smith) Wertman.

Curt had worked for Glenn Miller Plumbing & Heating of Lehighton for over 35 years.

A member of Ben Salem U.C.C. of Lehighton, he had served in the Army Air Corp during WWII. Curt belonged to the Mahoning Valley, Andreas, and Ashfield Fire Companies.

Curt enjoyed woodworking and gardening.

Born in East Penn Twp., he was the son of the late Oliver and Cora (Nothstein) Wertman.

He is also survived by his;

Daughter,
Nancy M. (Wertman) Schoenberger wife of Darvin of Lehighton;

Two grandchildren, Amy wife of Robert Flores, and Marcy wife of Scott Kline;

Great grandchildren, Katelyn, Austin, Colin, and Codey;

Preceded in death by sisters, Mrs. Muriel Benninger-Pariser, Mrs. Evelyn Longacre, and Mrs. Beatrice Remaley; brother Wilmer Wertman.

Arrangements are being handled by Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, Inc., 2066 West Penn Pike, Rte. #309, New Ringgold, Pa. 17960.

Funeral Service Wednesday May 8, 2013 at 11 o'clock A.M. from the funeral home, Rev. Michael McGowan to officiate.

Friends shall be received Wednesday May 8, 2013 from 9:30 A.m. until time of services at the Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, Inc.

Interment will be at Ben Salem Church Cemetery, Lehighton.
