Clifford J. Stauffer

Clifford J Stauffer, age 85, of Quakake Rd., Weatherly, died Tuesday, September 9, 2014, at Hazleton General Hospital.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Floretta Mae (Foose) Stauffer.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Weatherly.

Clifford had been employed by Beryllium of Hazleton for 20 years and he retired from Forbo of Hazleton. He later assisted at Sernak's Farm.

He served during the Korean Conflict with the Army 10th Corps Company 720th Military Battalion, he was one of fourteen surviving members.

Clifford was a Conyngham High School graduate and an avid outdoorsman and farmer.

Born in Ringtown, he was the son of the late Ralph Stauffer and the late Katherine (Dennison) Stauffer.

He is also survived by his

Elmer L Stauffer and his wife AnnMarie of Nesquehoning;

Three Grandchildren,
Sarah, Kelly and Michael;

Two Great-Grandchildren,
Haliley and Gabriel.

Preceded in death by his sister, Winifred Field.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 211 First Street , Weatherly, PA where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, September 12, 2014. and from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 13, 2014.

Funeral service with Military Honors will be at Philip J Jeffries Funeral Home at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 13, 2014, Reverend Dawn Richie to officiate.

Private Interment.

Memorials in his honor may be sent to Disabled American Veterans Hazleton Chapter, 305 E. Diamond Ave. American Legion, Hazleton, PA 18201.
