Claire Krapf-Hollenbach

Mrs. Claire (Krapf) Hollenbach, age 86, of Tamaqua, died Wednesday, December 1, 2010, at the home of her daughter, Marie Reese in Lehighton.

Born in Tamaqua, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Catherine (Scheidegger) Krapf.

A 1942 Tamaqua High School graduate, Claire retired from the former J.E. Morgan Knitting Mills in 1989.

Claire, loved to sing, and was an accomplished painist.

She is survived by her

Five Daughters,
Marie (Clausius) Reese wife of Donald of Lehighton, with whom she resided,
Joan Anne (Clausius) Garber of Tamaqua,
Betty (Clausius) Trudich of Tamaqua,
Linda (Clausius) Moreno wife of Alex of Mexico,
Roberta Hollenbach of Tamaqua;

Three Sons,
Robert Hollenbach of Kingston, Pa.,
Edward Clausius, and his wife Nancy of Tamaqua,
Joseph Clausius of Tamaqua;

One Sister,
Mrs. Regina (Krapf) Evans of Tuscarora;

Three Brothers,
Paul Krapf of Allentown,
George Krapf, and his wife Carol of Maryland,
Donald Krapf, and his wife Marian of Tamaqua;

Thirteen grandchildren
Twenty Five great-grandchildren;

Preceded in death by brothers, Albert, Calvin, Elwood, Robert Krapf; sisters, Mrs. Nellie Stramara, Mrs. Naomi Barron, Mrs. Louise Light, Mrs. Kathryn Dudeck, and Mrs. Fern Tonkin.

Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa., where the family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM Sunday, December 5, 2010 and from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Monday, December 6, 2010.

Funeral service will be at E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Monday, December 6, 2010, Rev. David W. Grant officiating.

Interment will be at Sky-View Memorial Park in Tamaqua, Pa.
