Christian H. Kaiser, Jr.

Christian H. Kaiser, Jr., husband, father, and grand father age 87, of Tamaqua, died Friday, March 15, 2013, at home on Orwigsburg Street in Tamaqua, while in the care of his family.

Survived by his wife of 58 years, Shirley (Pursel) Kaiser.

A 1943 Tamaqua High School graduate, Christian entered the United States Army serving during WWII. Upon his honorable discharge he earned his associates degree in electronic's from Temple University.

Christian retired from Western Electric, having worked as an Electronic Tech for 19 years.

He was a member of St. John U.C.C. of Tamaqua.

Born in Tamaqua, he was the son of the late Christian Kaiser, Sr. and the late Annie (Scheitrumpf) Kaiser.

He is also survived by his;

Two Daughters,
Beth (Kaiser) Risser wife of Steve of Myerstown,
Cindy (Kaiser) Sedlock wife of Martin of Andreas;

One Son,
Christian H. Kaiser, III of Tamaqua;

One Sister,
Mildred Kaiser of Tamaqua;

Seven grandchildren, Bridgit, Chris, Jennifer, Amy, Justin, Martin, and Tony;

Four great-grandchildren, Christian, Brooke, Briley, and Landry;

Many nieces, and nephews.

Preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey A. Kaiser on December 22, 2010; sister, Mrs. Alma Knepper; brother, Bill Tuckett; daughter-in-law, Pat Kaiser.

Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa. 18252 where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, March 19, 2013 and from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 20, 2013.

Funeral service will be at E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 20, 2013, Rev. Kevin Duffy-Guy to officiate.

Interment with Military honors, will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Tamaqua.
