Miss Chelsea Katelyn Sims, age 22, died Tuesday, November 17, 2009, at Paoli Hospital in Paoli, Pa.
Born with cerebral palsy, her life was vibrant, and she was a gift to her family, and all who knew her. She had a smile that would light up a room, and a personality that endeared her to many.
Chelsea was a 2008 High School graduate of Melmark of Berwyn, a residential care and learning facility where she resided, and flourished.
Born in Hazleton, she was the daughter of Kirk Douglas and Jane (Mechinus) Sims of Hazleton.
She is also survived by her
Two Sisters,
Stacey (Sims) Natt wife of John, and Ashley Sims, both of Hazleton;
Three Brothers,
David Sims of Frederick, Md.
Michael Sims of Dallas, Texas
Matthew Sims of Hazleton
Arrangements are being handled by Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home, 211 First Street, Weatherly, Pa., Philip J. Jeffries F.D./ Sup., where the family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM Monday, November 23, 2009.
Funeral service will be at Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Monday, November 23, 2009, Rev. Donald J. Stump officiating.
Interment will be at Union Cemetery of Weatherly
