Charles R. Tracy

Charles Tracy, 90 years of age of Arlington Street Tamaqua passed away on Thursday December 26, 2024 at home.Born Saturday, June 9, 1934 in Tamaqua, Pennsylvania the son of the late Daniel, and Veronica (Fulmer) Tracy. He was also predeceased by; sisters, Rose McCarroll, Sylvia Arner, Catherine Secara, Theresa Zawatwicz; brothers, Michael, Francis, Thomas, Daniel, Clement, Jerome, and Joseph Tracy.  Surviving are; brother, John Tracy and his wife Patty of Tamaqua. Many nieces and nephews also survive Charles.  

A 1952 graduate of St. Jerome High School, Charles served honorably in the United States Army during the Korean war. Charles retired from Penn Steel in Hamburg. A devout member of St. John XXIII R.C. Church of Tamaqua, Charles coached CYO youth basketball, guiding his high school team to the state playoff. An ardent Notre Dame football fan, Charles also belonged to the East End Fire Co. and Tamaqua American Legion.

(570) 668-2550.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday December 31, 2024 at 11 o'clock A.M. from St. John XXIII R.C.C. 307 Pine Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252.  A visitation will occur on Tuesday morning at the funeral home from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M.  Interment will be in St. Jerome R.C.C.
