Charles H. Steward, 89, passed away Friday, December 9, 2011 at the Huntington Living Center. Mr. Steward was born on June 29, 1922 in Weatherly, PA. He was the son of Harrison and Louisa Rohde Steward. Charles was a WWII veteran having served in the U.S. Army stationed in Europe and the South Pacific. He retired from the Singer Corporation/Graflex in Fairport after 20 years of service as a packing/shipping clerk. Charles was a member of the Palmyra Reformed Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and photography. He is survived by his beloved daughter Charlotte McLeod and her husband Stuart of Weedsport, his granddaughters Celeste McLeod of Houston TX and Cheryl Losinger of Endicott and his great-grandchildren Collin and Shawn Losinger. Charles was predeceased by his loving wife of 60 years Jean Horrox Steward in 2005. Calling hours will be held Sat December 17, 2011 from 10 to 11:00 A.M. from the Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home, Weatherly, Pa.
