Charles W. Rohart, Ii

Charles W Rohart, II, longtime Tamaqua High School educator, 70 years of age of Barnesville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 15, 2017, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Salisbury Twp.
He is survived by his wife of forty-four years, Kristine A. (Brose) Rohart; daughters, Mia Rohart and Maj Lydia R. Stefanik, U.S.A.F. wife of Anthony of Warrington; grandchildren, A.J., and Esme.
A 1965 graduate of Loyalsock High School, Charlie matriculated to California State College earning his B.S. degree in education with an emphasis in Metal Shop and Power Mechanics. Upon graduation from college, he was hired by the Tamaqua Area School District in 1972 and taught there until retiring in 2005. Charlie enjoyed the comaraderie of his peers; however, was most proud of the relationships made with his students. He reveled in their success, and took great pride in their accomplishments. Charlie earned his Master of Education while teaching in Tamaqua.
He was a member of: First United Methodist Church of Mahanoy City; Past Master of the Mahanoy City Masonic Lodge # 357; Regional Vice President of the T.E.E.A. P. Chapter.
Mechanically gifted, he was always happy tinkering with anything broken. Friends and family knew he could fix almost anything with an engine.
Born Wednesday, December 25, 1946 in Philipsburg, Pennsylvania. the son of the late Charles W. Rohart, Sr., and Marjorie R. (Cowher) Rohart. He was also predeceased by sisters, Mrs. Janice Gonzales, and Mrs. Patricia McCormack.
Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. of 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252. (570) 668-2550.
A Funeral service will be on Tuesday June 20, 2017 at 11 o'clock AM from the funeral home, Rev. Susan Daniels to officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, June 19, 2017, and on the morning of services from 10:00 A.M. until time of services.
Masonic Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday night, June 19, 2017 at 7 o'clock PM.
Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.
