Charles T. Edmonds, 83 years of age of Walker Township,Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2015, at The Summit at Blue Mountain Nursing Home in Lehighton, Pennsylvania.
Widower of Betty A. (Stalgaitis) Edmonds who passed away on June 9, 2015.
Charlie is survived by;
Sons,
Charles W. "Chuck" Edmonds and his wife Brenda of Tamaqua,
Bruce J. Edmonds and his wife Margaret of Tamaqua;
Daughter,
Kim (Edmonds) Leary of Tamaqua;
Brother,
Donald Edmonds and his wife Jane of Coopersburg,
Seven grandchildren,
Amber, Matthew, Nathaniel, Nick, Jared, Leeanna and Joseph;
Five great grand children.
A Tamaqua High School graduate, Charlie served honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked for the former J. E. Morgan Knitting Mills for over forty years as head of the dye department.
Charlies was a member of The Primitive Methodist Church and South Ward Fire Company of Tamaqua. Charlie loved his home and tending to it's care.
Born Thursday November 12, 1931 in Tamaqua, the son of the late Charles W. and Ida "Babe" (Powers) Edmonds.
Funeral Arrangemetns have been entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 o'clock A.M. on Saturday September 5, 2015 from the funeral home at 11 o'clock A.M., Rev. Rodney Hall to officiate.
A Gathering of Friends shall take place at the funeral home on Saturday morning September 5, 2015 from 9:30 A.M. until time of services.
Interment with Military Honors, Sky-View Memorial Park Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.
