Cassidy Robert Startzel, 22 years of age, of Andreas, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2014, in Andreas.
Born in Lehighton on February 25, 1992, he was the son of Christine (Rinker) Oxner of Andreas, and Howard W. Startzel, Jr. and his wife Donna of Tamaqua.
Cassidy was a 2012 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School, and worked at Happy's Diner in New Ringgold. He was Protestant by faith.
An outdoorsman who liked to fish, ride dirt bikes and his 4-wheeler's. Playing guitar with friends and listening to music was his passion. Cassidy also enjoyed cooking, and playing video games.
In addition to his parents he is survived by;

Christina Startzel of Mahanoy City;
Brother:
Michael H. Startzel of Tamaqua;
Maternal grandmother with whom he resided,
Beatrice Rinker and her companion Blair Krause,
Maternal grandfather, Robert Rinker and his wife Jeannie of Quakake;
Paternal grandfather, Howard W. Startzel, Sr. of Tamaqua;
Step-sisters,
Angelique Parsons and her companion Greg Goldberg of Lehighton, Patricia Pierce and her husband Chris of Wellington, New Zealand.
Preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Catherine Startzel.
Arrangements are Entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa.
Funeral Service will be held at the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services at 7 o'clock P.M, Wednesday, October 22, 2014, Rev. Janet Kline to officiate.
A Gathering of Friends will be from 5:00 P.M. until time of services at the funeral home.
Private interment.
