Mr. Casper F Meck, age 91, of E. Union St., Tamaqua, Pa., died Sunday, May 23, 2010, at Hometown Nursing Home in Tamaqua.

Mr. Meck was a U.S. Army WWII Veteran and had been employed by Schuylkill Masonry as a carpenter.

He was a member of St. John's U.C.C. of Tamaqua and the Carpenter's and Joiner's Union.

Casper was an avid gardener, woodworker and craftsman, having crafted his own furniture and childrens toys.

Born in Coaldale, he was the son of the late Andrew and Tillie (Kurdilla) Meck.

He is survived by his
daughter, Carol Ann Rarick and her husband Don of Drums, Pa.

sister, Frances Ehlers of Kenosha, WI

three grandchildren, Scott and his wife Stacy; Kevin and his wife Christina; and Gregory and his fiance Jennifer

two great-grandchildren, Christopher S. and Jacob Casper.

Preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Mae (Rehrig) Meck in 1985; infant son, Casper F. Meck; brothers, Frank, Andrew and Michael; sister, Anna Callahan.

Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa. where the family will receive friends on Friday, May 28, 2010 from 9:30-11:00AM.

Funeral Service will be on Friday, May 28, 2010 at 11:00AM at the funeral home, Reverend Kevin Duffy-Guy officiating.

Interment will be at Sky View Memorial Park, Tamaqua, Pa.
