Mr. Carl Raymond "BUD" Schwenk, age 85, formerly of Mckeanburg, PA , died Monday, April 30, 2007, at Pottsville Hospital in Pottsville, Pa.
He was the husband of Betty J. (Fender) Schwenk and they resided at Orwigsburg Center since January of 2005.

Born in McKeansburg, he was the son of the late Henry Schwenk and Bertha Mae (Bensinger) Schwenk.

Carl served in WWII as a radio operator on a B 24. He was a United States Army Veteran and a member of the American Legion Post #0369.

Before retiring Carl worked for J. Robert Bazley, CW Good, Verlanti, of Harrison New York, #1 contracting and numerous other contractors for many years. He was also a member of Christ Church of McKeansburg.

He is survived by his wife Betty J. (Fender) Schwenk

Gloria and husband Stanley German of New Ringgold, Pa.

Barbara & husabnd Earl Readinger of Friedensburg.

Betty & David Readinger of Schuylkill Haven

Jean & husband Phillip Faust of Schuylkill Haven

Two Sons,
Robert Schwenk and his companion Delores Derricott of New Ringgold, Pa.

Raymond Schwenk of Deer Lake

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Myrle Schwenk and Viola Guers and brothers Marvin, George & Harold, 1 grandchild and 1 great grandchild.

Calling Hours: Thursday 9:30-11 AM at the Robert S. Nester Funeral Home Inc. 2066 West Penn Pike New Ringgold, PA 17960.

Funeral Service: Thursday May 3, 2007 at 11 am from the Funeral home with the Rev. Sunny Stock and the Rev. Douglas Schwenk officiating.

Interment will be at Christ Church Cemetery in McKeansburg, Pa with full military honors.
