Burdell L. Troxell, age 73, of Locust Lane, Andreas, died Sunday, March 1, 2015, at home in the care of his family.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Dolores A. (Lusch) Troxell.
Burdell was a 7th generation dairy farmer.
He was a member of Ben Salem U.C.C., Lehighton and a 1960 graduate of Tamaqua High School.
He was involved with 4-H as a child and he enjoyed playing cards and pinochle.
Burdell was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and he was a Philadelphia sports fan who followed the Phillies and Eagles.
Born in West Penn Township, he was the son of the late Lester W. and Hilda M. (Andreas) Troxell.
He is also survived by his

Carol A Fritz wife of Kevin of New Ringgold;
Two Sons,
Randy B Troxell and his wife Jolene of Andreas;
Dennis W Troxell and his wife Mary of Tamaqua;
Two Sisters,
Madeline E Ruch of New Ringgold;
Jean A Snyder wife of Chester of Andreas;
Three Brothers,
Richard W Troxell and his wife Judith of Andreas;
Berlyn R Troxell of Andreas;
Dale Troxell and his companion Sharon of Andreas;
Six Grandchildren,
Christopher, Shawn, Jessica, Amanda, Taylor and Austin;
Three Great-Grandchildren,
Rebecca, Grace and Alexis.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Robert S. Nester Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2066 West Penn Pike, New Ringgold, PA where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, March 4, 2015.
Funeral Service will be held at Ben Salem UCC 1965 Church Hill Rd., Lehighton, PA on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 11 o'clock AM. Calling Hours from 9:30AM until time of service at the church.
Interment at Ben Salem Church Cemetery, Lehighton.
