Burdell " Pete" Faust
(November 22, 1929 - June 15, 2012) Burdell Faust, age 82, of East Main Street Weatherly, died Friday, June 15, 2012, at home.
Widower of the late Shirley D. (Doney) Faust who died in 2003.
A 1947 Weatherly High School graduate, Pete matriculated to Susquehanna University graduating with a Music degree after serving in the Air Force during the Korean War, as a First Lt. After the Air Force, Pete flew for Seaboard Airlines transporting cargo, before becoming a captain with Eastern Airlines.
Known for his talented piano playing, Pete shared his great love of music with those around him. Several other hobbies of his included gardening, astronomy, and reading. Additionally he was an avid runner, running races even into his 70’s.
He was the son of the late Burdell and Ruth (Somers) Faust.
He is survived by his, Daughter, Lynn (Faust) Okkerse of Somerset, NJ; Grandchildren, Rebecca, Amanda, and Lauren; Great grandchild, Rosalia; One Sister, Eva Mae (Faust) Doney and her husband Bruce of Weatherly; Daughter-in-law, Diane Faust of Somerville, NJ. Preceded in death by Son, Bruce Faust.
Arrangements are being handled by Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home, 211 First Street Weatherly, Pa., Philip J. Jeffries F.D..
Memorial Service Sat., June 30, 2012 at 11 o'clock A.M. from the Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home.
