Betty J. Schwenk

Mrs. Betty J. (Fender) Schwenk, age 83, of Orwigsburg, Pa., formerly of New Ringgold, died Thursday, August 18, 2011, at Orwigsburg Manor in Orwigsburg.

A homemaker, Betty was a member of Christ Church of McKeansburg.

Born in Schuylkill Haven, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Eva May (Schaffer) Fender.

She is survived by her

Five Daughters,
Gloria (Schwenk) German wife of Stanley of New Tripoli,
Barbara (Schwenk) Readinger wife of Earl of Freidensburg,
Joan (Schwenk) Walters wife of Edwin, Jr. of Slatington,
Betty (Schwenk) Readinger wife of David of Schuylkill Haven,
Jean (Schwenk) Faust wife Phillip of Schuylkill Haven;

One Son,
Robert Schwenk and his companion Delores Derricott of New Ringgold;

One Sister,
Lorraine Lousie (Fender) Wolfinger wife of Willard of Coplay, Pa.;

Ninteen grandchildren,
Thirty one great-grandchildren,
Two great great grandchildren;

Preceded in death by her husband on April 30, 2007, Carl R. Schwenk; son, Raymond Schwenk who died on Dec. 22, 2008; brother, Lewis Michael Fender, Jr.; great granddaughter, Jennifer Schwenk; and a still born grandchild.

Arrangements are being handled by Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, Inc., 2066 West Penn Pike, New Ringgold, Pa..

The family will receive friends Tuesday August 23, 2011 from the Robert S. Nester Funeral Home, Inc. 2066 West Penn Pike, Rte.#309 New Ringgold, Pa. from 9:30 to 11:00 A.M.

Funeral services will be held from the funeral home at 11 o'clock A.M., Rev. Robert Burkey, and Chaplain Joyce Yoder to officiate.

Interment will be at Christ Union Cemetery of McKeansburg.
