Mrs. Betty J. Pritchard Richie, age 84, of Weatherly, Pa., died Thursday, December 24, 2009, at Heritage Hills Senior Community, Weatherly.
A 1942 Bangor High School graduate, Betty and her husband Sherman, moved to Weatherly in 1985, where she became a member of the L&L Fire Company Ladies Aux. of Weatherly.
She had worked for the former Commonwealth Phone Company of Bangor, Pa.
Born in Bangor, She was the daughter of the late Mary (Warrick) Owens.
She is survived by her
One Daughter,
Mrs. Linda P. Reilly wife of Joseph of Harleysville, Pa.;
Step daughter, Jacqueline Klucsarits wife of Charles of Wind Gap, Pa.;
One Sister,
Eleanor LaBar;
Two nephews
Preceded in death by her husband, Sherman Richie; brother, Mr. William Owens.
Arrangements are being handled by Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home, 211 First Street, Weatherly, Pa., Philip J. Jeffries F.D./ Sup., where the family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM Tuesday, December 29, 2009. Funeral service will be at Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home at 12:00 PM Tuesday, December 29, 2009, Rev. Donald Stump officiating.
Interment will be at Union Cemetery.
