Betty Marie Pantella

Betty Marie (Blacketter) Pantella, age 79, of Jim Thorpe, died Monday, February 3, 2014, at Weatherwood Nurisng & Rehabilitaion Ctr. in Weatherly, Pa.

Widow of George Pantella who died in 1996.

A Lehighton High School graduate, Betty and her late husband owned and operated A&Z Fenzing of Jim Thorpe for over 30 years.

Betty was a member of Christ Lutheran Church of Penn Forrest Twp, and enjoyed sewing.

Born in Lehighton, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Ethel (Folkrode) Blacketter.

She is survived by her;

Daughter,
Janet M. (Pantella) Schmitt wife of Bill of Drums, Pa.;

Brother,
Charles Blacketter, Jr. and his wife Janet of Douglasville, Pa.;

Niecs, and nephews;

Preceded in death by her brother, James Blacketter.

Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa.

Memorial Service will be at Christ Lutheran Church 189 Church Road, Penn Forrest Twp, Jim Thorpe, Pa. 18229 at 11 o'clock AM Friday, February 7, 2014, Rev. Nancy Moore to officiate.

Friends shall be received in church from 10:00 A.M. until time of services.

Interment, Evergreen Cemetery, Jim Thorpe, Pa.
