Mrs. Betty M. (Shirk) Palmer, age 81, died Sunday, January 30, 2011, at St. Lukes Miners Memorial Medical Ctr. in Coaldale, Pa.
Betty, had worked for the Leader Nursing Home of Shillington.
Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Betty Marie Shirk.
She is survived by her
One Daughter,
Melissa (Palmer) Heckman of Shillington;
One Son,
John Blank of Tamaqua;
Two Sisters,
Jean wife of Jack Miller of Epharata,
Jane Mentzer of Lancaster;
Three grandchildren
Two great-grandchildren;
Preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Palmer.
Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa.,
Graveside service will be at Forest Hills Cemetery at 10:00 AM Friday, February 4, 2011.
