Betty M. (Bird) Lewis, age 83, of West Main Street Weatherly, died Saturday, November 19, 2011, at Hazleton General Hospital.
A Hazle Twp. High School graduate, Betty, matriculated to McCann's School of Business of Hazleton.
She was a member of Salem U.C.C. of Weatherly, and enjoyed drawing, crochet, and video games.
Betty retired from Metropolitan Life, Hazleton.
Born in Lattimer Mines, she was the daughter of the late George and Pearl (Schaffer) Bird.
She is survived by her
One Daughter,
Cindy L. (Lewis) Devlin wife of Jeffrey of Jeanette, Pa.;
One Sister,
Evelyn Bird of Lattimer Mines;
One grandchild, Matt Devlin;
Preceded in death by her husband, Billy Lewis.
Private Arrangements are being handled by Philip J. Jeffries 211 First Street, Weatherly, Pa., Philip J. Jeffries F.D.
Interment will be at Union Cemetery, Weatherly.
