Betty J Kotus

July 2, 1927 — October 18, 2005

Mrs. Betty J. (Blessing) Kotus 78, of Hazleton, Pa. died Tuesday at St. Lukes Manor Hazleton, Pa. She was the Widow of George Kotus, Sr. who died October 29, 1993. Born in Cressona , Pennsylvania to the late Oliver Blessing, she was raised by her Mother Anna A. Collins-Hall and Step-Father Elias Hall.

A graduate of Natrona Heights High School class of 1944, Betty devoted her life to God serving as a Missionary to Haiti and the Dominican Republic while volunteering as a Foster Grand Parent.

Son Fredrick R. Shellhammer, Jr. and Step Son George Kotus, Jr. along with Brothers, Francis Hall and Willard Zimmerman , as well as Sisters Alice Vidzicki and Barbara Ann Maurer survive her. She is also surviverd by Four Grandchildren and Three Great Grandchildren. Preceded in death by brothers Charles, Raymond, LeRoy, Harry, Dennis & Edward Hall.
Services will be held Friday October 21 at 11 o'clock AM from the E. Franklin Griffiths & Robert C. Reeser Funeral Home, Inc. 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa. Calling from 6-8:00 Pm thursday evening.
Interment Sky-View Memorial Park Tamaqua, Pa.
