Betty Jane Hoffman, mother, and grandmother, 91 years of age of West Philips Street, Coaldale, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 16, 2016, at St. Luke's Miners Memorial Medical Center in Coaldale.
Widow of George Samuel Hoffman who passed away on June 2, 2004, she is survived by; daughter, Mrs. Brenda Lund of Phoenix, AZ; sons, Dr. George S. Hoffman and his wife Chiyoko of Beaumont, TX, Kenneth R. Hoffman and his wife Marlene of Tamaqua, and David W. Hoffman and his wife Perilyn of Basking Ridge, NJ.; 7 grandchildren; 3 great grand children.
Retired from I.C.I of Reynolds, after twenty plus years of service, Betty was a member of the First Congregational Church of Coaldale. She enjoyed crocheting, and knitting.
Born Saturday, January 31, 1925 in Reading the daughter of the late Lewis N., and Ethel (Becker) Brode. She was also predeceased by a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Davison; brother, Mr. Robert Brode.
Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services of 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252. (570) 668-2550.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 o'clock AM on Monday November 21, 2016 from the funeral home, Rev., Dr. Wayne E. Benack to officiate. Friends shall be received on the morning of services from 9:30 A.M. until time of services.
Interment will be in Sky- View Memorial Park, Tamaqua.
