Betty Jane Cougle, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, of Bernville, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Friday, April 21, 2023, in Coaldale while surrounded by the unwavering love of her family and friends, at the age of 85.
Born Friday, April 8, 1938 in Bethlehem, the daughter of the late George and Rose (FaRannte) Capobianco, Betty was also preceded in death by sisters Rosemarie, Stella, and Margaret Ann, and son Timothy J. Cougle Jr.
Surviving are her spouse of 64 yearss, Timothy J. Cougle, Sr.; daughters Georgene Cougle-Rhodes, and Terri Werley, wife of Kenny, her caregiver with whom she resided; son Barry Cougle; grandchildren Kristy Wilson, Billy Joe Moyer, Jeremy Cougle, Shaun Cougle, Timothy Cougle, Joshua Cougle, Tonya Werley, Shayna Rodriguez, John Cougle, Brittany Cougle, Cheyenne Bauer, and Dylan Rhodes; 38 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Lutheran by faith, Betty was a graduate of Liberty High School in Bethlehem. A homemaker for most of her life, Betty also worked in cleaning and foodservice at Strohl’s Brewery, and she later managed the J’s Steaks & Subs in Trexlertown. Betty loved flowers, Country Music, shopping on QVC, the companionship of her animals, traveling, and watching Atlanta Braves baseball. She and her husband Tim, a long haul truck driver, would be active on their CB Radios, where Betty's call name was "Betty Boop.” Her smile was the brightest thing in every room, and she was giving and loving, always ready to do anything for her family.

Interment will be in Zion Lehigh Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery, 8289 Spring Creek Road Alburtis Pennsylvania 18011 at 10 o'clock A.M. on Monday May 1, 2023.
