Betty L. (Essington) Boettger, 91years of age, of Market Street Tamaqua, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2014, at home.
Survived by her husband of sixty-six years, Earl H. Boettger.
Born in Tamaqua, the daughter of the late George W., and Lottie (Whetstone) Essington.
Betty was a 1941 graduate of Tamaqua High School, and member of St. John U.C.C. of Tamaqua having sung in the Senior Choir. Retired from the former J.J. Newberry Store, Betty was a Past Matron of the Tamaqua Eastern Star Chapter #137. Betty was also a member of the former Tamaqua Women's Club.
In addition to her husband, Betty is survived by;
Sister-in-Law, Ruth A. Essington, nieces, and nephews.
Preceded in death by brothers, Raymond R. , George, and William Essington, and five half brothers; half sister, Grace (Gilfert) Martin.
Arrangements are being entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa.
Funeral service will be at E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, November 4, 2014, Rev. Kevin Duffy-Guy to officiate.
Friends may call Tuesday morning November 4, 2014 from 9:30 A.M. until time of services.
Interment will be at Odd Fellows, Tamaqua.
