Bessie Mae Edwards, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania went home to her Lord, on Wednesday, June 24, 2020, as a guest of New Easton Rehabilitation Ctr. in Easton, Pennsylvania, at the tender age of 88 years.. Born Friday, July 10, 1931 in Thomasville, North Carolina the daughter of the late Lillie (Livenie) Freeman and John James McNair. Bessie was also predeceased by; son, Ron Edwards; sister, Donnell Truesdale; grandchild, Rosalind Jenkins. Surviving are daughter, Linda Alexander wife of Ron of Raleigh, NC; sister, Mae Francis Hutchinson of Paterson, NJ; grand children, Kisha Douglas, Maurice Douglas; 5 great grand children; 3 great great grandchildren; son-in-law, Willie Douglas Hoffman. A home maker most of her life, Bessie worked as a fork lift driver for Dial Corp in the 1980's. Bessie, enjoyed traveling. Bessie was devoted to her family, and will be missed by many.
