Barry C. Searfoss

Mr. Barry C. Searfoss, age 64, of Fallowfield Circle Reading, Pa., died Friday, May 28, 2010, at Reading Hospital in Reading.

A 1963 Weatherly High School graduate, Barry upon graduation served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam conflict. A Star athlete at Weatherly High School, he recently was inducted into the Weatherly Sports Hall of Fame.

Barry, retired from the Union National Bank of Mt. Joy, Pa., having served as a retail lending officer. During his banking tenure, Barry received professional certifications while attending the Bucknell University Banking Institute.

Born in Packer Twp., he was the son of the late Grant and Muriel (Knepper) Searfoss.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Mrs. Peggy (Dziak) Searfoss;

One Daughter,
Mrs. Heather (Searfoss) Dallas wife of Brian of Reading;

One Son,
Barry M. Searfoss of Coatsville;

Two Sisters,
Shelia (Searfoss) Gabriel wife of Anthony,
Celene (Searfoss) Mokes and her finacee Ed Zukowski, both of Weatherly;

Two Brothers,
Carey Searfoss and his wife Phyllis of Bath,
Grant "Pat" Searfoss and his wife Anna Jean of Weatherly;

Four grandchildren, Brady, Katie, Gracie, and Jacob Dallas.

Preceded in death by, a son Jeremy; and two infant sisters, Madeline, and Rochelle Searfoss.

Arrangements are being handled by Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home, 211 First Street, Weatherly, Pa., Philip J. Jeffries F.D./Sup.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 2, 2010, from St. Matthew's Union Church Ben Titus Road Weatherly, Pa. 18255.

Funeral service will be at St. Matthew's Union Church at 11 o'clock AM Wednesday, June 2, 2010, Rev. Fredericka Beauchard officiating.

Interment with Military Services will be at St. Matthew's Cemetery.
