Barbara M. Hosler

Mrs. Barbara M. (Houser) Hosler, age 73, of Tamaqua, Pa., died Sunday, November 15, 2009, at St. Lukes Miners Memorial Medical Ctr. in Coaldale, Pa., surrounded by her family.

Barb, was a Tamaqua High School graduate, and member of the Drum & Bugle Corp.

A homemaker, she belonged to St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church of Tamaqua. She was active in the Tamaqua Salvation Army.

Bard, loved to cook, and was very artistic. She had a knack for math.

Born in Tamaqua, she was the daughter of the late Robert C. and Harriet (Derricott) Houser.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Charles F. Hosler;

Three Daughters,
Cindy (Hosler) Rascavage wife of Lenny of New Tripoli,
Karen (Hosler) Dodson wife of Paul of Sebastian, Fl.,
Holly (Hosler) Breiner wife of Bill of Tamaqua;

Two Sons,
Bud Hosler and his wife Deb, and
Tom Hosler and his wife Krissy, both of Tamaqua;

Two Sisters,
Shirley (Houser) Kesen of Sanford, Fl.
Harriet R. Postupack wife of Gene of LeMoore, Calif.;

Ten grandchildren
One great-grandchild;

Preceded in death by her brothers, Paul R. Houser and Robert C. Houser, Jr.

Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa., where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, November 18, 2009 and from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Thursday, November 19, 2009.

Funeral service will be on Thursday Nov. 19, 20009, at 11 o'clock AM from the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc. with the Rev. Phyllis J. Wolford officiating.

Interment will be at Odd Fellows in Tamaqua, Pa.
