Arlene Marie Wardle-Correll

Arlene Marie (Witner) Wardle-Correll, age 78, born 01-15-1939, of Spring Mtn. Rd., Weatherly, lost her long hard fought battle with cancer on Sunday, February 26, 2017, at Weatherwood Nursing Home, Weatherly.
She was the daughter of the late James and Thelma (Monk) Witner.
She was a 1956 graduate of Reading High School, and matriculated to the Pottstown Nursing School. As an RN, she worked at John's Hopkins, Maryland and in Texas, coming back to the area, she worked at St. Joe's in Hazleton as an operating room nurse for over 30 years. Nursing was her first love and her true calling. She loved nothing more than being able to care for people. In her spare time, she loved baking, gardening, shooting, dogs, horses and watching her birds.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, was her sister, Anna Witner and her great-grandchild, Aiden Scott Kenner.
She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Jim Correll; her brother, Jim Witner and his wife Joyce of Reading; her sons, Todd J. Wardle of CT and Ian W. Correll at home; her step-daughters, Nancy J. Davidovich wife of James of Weatherly and Susan L. Banasiewicz wife of Scott of AR; her granddaughters, Christa, Sara, Tia and Brianna; great-grandson, Troy and great-grandaughter, Kathryn; several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 211 First Street , Weatherly, PA where the family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 4, 2017.
Memorial Service will be at Phiip J. Jeffries Funeral Home & Cremation Services at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 4, 2017.
Interment will be at Union Cemetery, Weatherly.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in her honor may be sent to St. Matthew's Church 3153 Quakake Rd., Weatherly, PA 18255.
