Anne Marie Kaufman

Mrs. Anne Marie (Manning) Kaufman, age 66, of Tamaqua, Pa., died Sunday, February 28, 2010, at her home in Tamaqua, surrounded by her family.
A 1961 Marian High School graduate, Anne was a member of St. Jerome R.C.C. of Tamaqua, Pa.
A career Navy wife, she and her husband of 43 years, Edwin J. Kaufman returned home to Tamaqua, upon his retirement from the Navy, and operated Anna's grocery store of Pitt street from 1992 to 2004.
Anne, loved to knit, garden, and work with stained glass, and make flowers from aluminum sheeting.
She was the secretary of the Tamaqua Adult Day Care Ctr.
Born in Altoona, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Francis and Mary (Sharpe) Manning.
Survived by her husband Edwin J. Kaufman;
Two Daughters,
Jennifer R. (Kaufman) Tonkin of Tamaqua,
Maureen A. (Kaufman) Ciavarella wife of Anthony of Drums;
One Son,
Tom M. Kaufman and his wife Susan of Columbia, S.C.;
Six grandchildren,Tiffany, Alexis, Garrett, Kip, abigail, Vincent, and Isabella;
Preceded in death by her sister Frances Pulela
Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa., where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, March 4, 2010 and from 9:45 AM to 10:30 AM Friday, March 5, 2010.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Jerome R.C.C. at 11:00 o'clock AM Friday, March 5, 2010, Rev. James Bechtel officiating.
Private interment.
