Mrs. Anne Marie (Burns) Gallagher, age 81, of Coaldale, died Monday, December 20, 2010, at Weatherwood Nursing Home in Weatherly, Pa.
Anne, was a member of the former St. Mary's Assumption RCC, Coaldale, and now is a member of St. Jerome R.C.C. of Tamaqua.
She had worked as a home health aide and was a graduate of the former St. Mary's High School, Coaldale, Pa.
She was a member of the former St. Mary's Guild and the Art League of Lansford.
Born in Pottsville, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Coleman) Burns.
She is survived by her
Two daughters,
Ann Gallagher of Coaldale and Patricia (Gallagher) Redmon wife of Steve of Chapel Hill, NC
One son,
John Gallagher and his wife Anne Cormier of Douglassville, Pa.
One brother,
Anthony Burns of Meritt Island, Fl.
Six grandchildren
three great-grandchildren;
Son-in-law, Wayne Gryzik of Clayton, De.;
A cousin, with whom she was raised, Mr. Charles Sharpe of Nesquehoning.
Preceded in death by her husband in 1982, John Patrick Gallagher; daughter, Mary Gallagher Gryzik in 2001; grandson, Brandon Derrick.
Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa., where the family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 from 6 to 8:00 P.M. and from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, December 22, 2010.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Jerome R.C. Church 264 W. Broad St., Tamaqua, Pa., Reverend James C. Bechtel officiating.
Private Interment at St. Bertha's R.C. Cemetery, Tuscarora, Pa.
