Mrs. Anna Mae (Painter) Chalupa, age 83, of Lehighton, Pa., died Monday, September 27, 2010 at her home in Lehighton.
Anna Mae was a member of St. John Slovak Lutheran Church of Lansford.
A graduate of Mt. Carmel High School and Jefferson Hospital School of Nursing, she was a Registered Nurse for 53 years having worked at Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia and May View State Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born in Mt. Carmel, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Thomas Painter and the late Honor (Brokenshire) Painter.
She is survived by her
husband of 61 years, Martin Chalupa of Lehighton
son, Martin Thomas Chalupa of Tuscon, AZ
daughters, Dolly Friedman and her husband Douglas of Greenville, PA; Carol Ann Long of Erial, NJ
brothers, Robert Painter and his wife MaryAnn of New Hope, PA; William Painter and his wife Jean of Mt. Carmel
sisters, Ruth Greener of Mt. Ephriam, NJ; Marion Palmer of Mt. Carmel
seven grandchildren
twelve great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her sister, Janet Doman.
