Mr. Andrew Lopata, Sr., age 88, of Ash Circle Andreas, Pa., died Sunday, September 28, 2008, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Center in Salisbury Twp., Pa.
A 1939 Nesquehoning High School graduate, Andrew served in the United State Navy during WWII. Returning home, he worked for the former L.C.N. Mines, Central Railroad of New Jersey, retiring from the Lehigh Valley Dairy in 1980.
Orthodox by faith, he was a former member of the Nesquehoning Legion.
Born in Nesquehoning, Pa., he was the son of the late Nicholas and the late Mary (Skerchock) Lopata.
He is also survived by his wife of 67 yrs., Mrs. Margaret (Bond) Lopata;

Mrs. Margaret (Lopata) Centrella of Torrington, Conn.
One Son,
Mr. Andrew Lopata and his wife Fran of Andreas, Pa.
One Brother,
Brother-Mr. Nicholas Lopata, Jr. and his wife Lillian of Boyertown, Pa.
Three grandchildren, Maureen Zeiner wife of Rob, Mary Chapdelaine wife of john, and Angela Lopata;
Two great-grandchildren, Abigail and Colton Zeiner;
Son-in-law, Alex Pujol of Andreas, Pa.
Preceded in death by a daughter, Beatrice M. (Lopatat) PuJol on August 29, 2007; brothers, Paul who died Sept. 22, 2008, and Mike; sisters, Mrs. Mary Hydock, Mrs. Helen Kashlak, Miss Julia Lopata
