Andrew J. Fayash, Sr. former Schuylkill Township Supervisor, 79 years of age of Valley Street Brockton, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Monday, April 4, 2016, at home while in the care of his family.
Survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Dolores M. (Luckenbill) Fayash; sons, Raymond Fayash of Brockton, Randy Fayash and his wife Jen of Nesquehoning, Charles Fayash and his wife Nicole of Brockton; sisters, Mrs. Mary Sterner of Lehighton, Margaret Anderson of Florida; grandchildren, Tara, Tiffany, Andrew III, and Aubrielle; great grandchildren, Talan, Trinity, and Araya; daughter-in-law, Sharon Fayash of Philadelphia; Many nieces, and nephews also survive him.
Andrew served honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked in the Textile Industry for many years, last working as a presser at Gurian Mills of Nesquehoning, and prior to working in Textile Industry he worked at the Middleport Breaker. Andrew served with the Schuylkill Township Fire Police. He was an outdoor enthusiast, who enjoyed hunting and fishing, maintaining membership in the Moss Glenn Gun Club, and Lone Pine Sportsman Club. Andrew drove stock cars at many local tracks in Schuylkill County, and competed in equestrian competions winning multiple awards.
Born Thursday, May 7, 1936 in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Andrew L., and Mary (Bennett) Fayash. He was also predeceased by a son Andrew J. Fayash, Jr. on May 12, 2013.

A Funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock A.M. on Thursday April 7, 2016 from the funeral home, Rev. Paul Noeker to officiate.
Friends shall be received at the funeral home on Thursday morning April 7, 2016 from 9:00 A.M. until time of services.
Interment will be at Ft. IndianTown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pennsylvania at the convenience of the family.
