Anastasia V Gibas, age 90, of Market St., Tamaqua, died Wednesday, August 17, 2011, at her home.
Anastasia had been manager at the former El- Jay Jewelers of Tamaqua.
She was a member of SS. Peter & Paul R.C.C. of Tamaqua.
A Tamaqua High School graduate, she was the first woman president of the Tamaqua Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Knights Lithuanian and Tamaqua Women's Club.
Born in Tamaqua, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Lutwin.
She is survived by her
One Daughter,
Anastasia M Gibas and her companion Donald Matalavage of Tamaqua.
Preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Lutwin.
Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa., where the family will receive friends on Saturday, August 20, 2011 from 8:30-9:30 AM.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 10:00 AM at SS. Peter & Paul R.C.C. 307 Pine St., Tamaqua, Pa., Reverend William Linkchorst officiating.
Interment at SS. Peter & Paul R.C.C. Cemetery, Owl Creek.
