Alvin M. Snyder, Jr.

Alvin M. "Butch" Snyder, Jr., age 61, of East Pacific Street Philadelphia, Pa., died Friday, September 25, 2009, at Aria Health Systems in Philadelphia, Pa.

A 1965 Frankford High School graduate, AL was a Vietnam Army veteran. He belonged to the Philadelphia American Legion Post #925, serving as Commander, Odditteez Motor Cycle Club, and was a graduate of the Civilian Police Academy.

Al, worked for Arley Wholesale of Morrisville, Pa.

Born in Coaldale, Pa., he was the son of the late Alvin Snyder, Sr. and the late Albina (Pavlick) Snyder.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Margaret "Peggy" (Walton) Snyder;

One Daughter,
Christina M. Snyder of Levittown, Pa.;

Two Sons,
Matthew Snyder, &
Mark Snyder both of Philadelphia, Pa.;

One Sister,
Joyce (Snyder) Christner of Philadelphia, Pa.;

Three grandchildren, Matthew, Shane, & Ryan;
One great-grandchild, Matthew III;

Preceded in death by a great grandson, Jacob.

Funeral service will be at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Thursday, October 1, 2009 .

Interment with Military Honors. will be at Sky View Memorial Park in Tamaqua, Pa.
