Alvin J Fritz, Sr., age 74, of Mush Dahl Rd., New Ringgold, died Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at home in the care of his family.
Born in Hazleton on February 8, 1942, he was the son of the late Henry and Anna (Stalgaitis) Fritz.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Frances E. (Ogrodnick) Fritz.
Alvin worked for Atlas Powder/ICI Explosives of Reynolds as a maintenance supervisor.
He was an Army Veteran.
Alvin was a member of St. Richard's R.C.C., Barnesville, Ryan Township Fire Co., and played in Lower West Penn dart league.
Al loved spending time with his grandchildren and also enjoyed his gardening and hunting.
He is also survived by his

Marsha Bates and her companion, Jerry Spohn of Fleetwood;
Toni Fritz of Mountain Top;

Troy Bates and his fiancee, Meghan Hess, Jenna Kizis, Caleb Fritz, Isaac Fritz;
Step-Grandson,
Hunter Ferreira.
Preceded in death by his sister, Dolores Shimukonas.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Richard's R.C.C. 799 Barnesville Dr., Barnesville, PA on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at 10 o'clock AM. Friends may Call 8-10 AM at the church.
Interment with Military Honors at Sky View Memorial Park, Tamaqua.
