Alice J. Mertz

Alice J. (Williams) Mertz, wife, mother, and grandmother, age 75, of Abbott Street, Lansford, died Thursday, November 28, 2013, at St. Luke's Hospice House in Bethlehem.

Survived by her husband of thirty years, Richard E. Mertz.

A Summit Hill High School graduate, Alice had worked for DeLallo Plumbing of Hazleton.

Alice was a member of St. John Slovak Lutheran Church of Lansford.

Born in Coaldale, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Alberta (Stickler) Williams.

She is also survived by her;

Diane S. Cseve wife of Frank of Walnutport;

Son,
John R. Ciavaglia and his wife Tina of Stroudsburg;

Sister,
Margaret (Williams) Christman of Lansford;

Brother,
Arthur Williams and his wife Mary of Lansford;

Five grandchildren,
Gavon, Kira Alexis, Angela, Jennifer, and Shannon Marie;

Great grandchildren, Damian, Sara, and Aubrey;

Preceded in death by a son, Matthew Curtis Mertz on Feb. 17, 2008; grand daughter, Elizabeth Barrett; sister, Mrs. Beverly Wertman; brother, William Williams.

Intement at Sky-View Memorial Park, Tamaqua.
