Alfred T. Mizgalski, age 74, of New Ringgold, Pa., died Thursday, February 23, 2006, at Weatherwood Carbon County Nursing & Rehabiltation Ctr. in Weathery, Pa.
Mr. Mizgalski was employed by New York State Division of Housing from 1985 to 1995. Prior to his tenure with the Housing Division Mr. Mizgalski was a Licensed Funeral Director Having Graduated from Mcallister School of Embalming and opening the Mizgalski Funeral Home in on Manhattan Ave, in Brookly and then purchasing the Frank Dekarski funeral Home at Driggs Ave. in Brooklyn, New York. Mr. Mizgalski served his profession from 1955 until 1983. During his professional career he atteended to the remains of General Douglas McArthur and President Herbert Hoover.
A 1950 graduate of the Boys High School Brooklyn he served in the Army during the Korean Conflict.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Tamaqua, Pennsylvania/ St. Cyril & Methodius R.C.C. and St. Stanislaus Kostka R.C.C. Brooklyn, NY/ 1st. Polish Democratic District Leader Brooklyn/ Former Aide to Congressman Fred Richmond / Smolenski Democratic Club/ Chartering member of Bedford Independent Political Club / Knights of Columbus/ American Legion/. .
He was the son of the late Walter Mizgalski and the late Wanda (Filiman) Mizgalski.
He is also survived by his wife of 42 yrs. Mrs. Clementine A Mizgalski;
