Alberta I. Brode

Mrs. Alberta I. (Gould) Brode, age 99, of Lafayette Street Tamaqua, Pa., died Sunday, January 17, 2010, at St. Lukes Miners Memorial Medical Ctr. in Coaldale, Pa.

A member of Trinity U.C.C. of Tamaqua, Alberta had worked in Textile Industry in Tamaqua.

Born in Tamaqua, she was the daughter of the late Jay and Della (Rickert) Gould.

She is survived by her

One Daughter,
Mrs. Jane E. Steigerwalt of Tamaqua;

One Sister,
Mrs. Eleanor (Gould) Friend of Tamaqua;

Granddaughter, Gail Jones and her husband Bob of Hamburg;

Preceded in death by her husband, Roy I. Brode, Sr., and her son Roy I "Buddy" Brode, who died October 23, 2009

Arrangements are being handled by E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc., 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pa., where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, January 19, 2010.

Funeral service will be at E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home, Inc. at 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 20, 2010, Rev. David W. Grant officiating.

Interment will be at Sky View Memorial Park in Tamaqua, Pa.
