Mrs. Alberta T. "Bertie" (Forke) Douglas, age 80, of Sixth Street Weatherly, died Wednesday, January 19, 2011, at home in the care of her husband of fifty-eight years, Thomas S. Douglas, Sr.
Alberta, had been employed by Glassberg/Klemow as a legal secretary for 32 years retiring in 2004.
She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes R.C.C. of Weatherly where she served on the festival committee, rosary society and was a choir member.
Alberta was a 1947 graduate of Hazleton High School and acquired various secretarial certifications from Penn State.
Born in Kelayres, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Angelina (Amoroso) Forke.
She is survived by her
Husband, Thomas S. Douglas, Sr. of Weatherly;
Two sons,
Thomas S. Douglas Jr. and his wife Gigi of Redondo Beach, CA and
Robert J Douglas and his wife Aleydis of Springfield, VA;
One daughter
Carol Douglas-Kosik of Emmaus;
Sister,
Lucille Russo and her husband Generose of Palmyra;
Three grandsons,
Nicholas, Matthew and Jonathan Kosik;
Nephews, Jerry and Joel Russo.

Friends may call Saturday January 29, 2011 from 9:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Lourdes R.C.C. 318 Plane Street Weatherly, Pa. 18255.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated by Rev. Floyd Caesar at 11 o'clock A.M. follwed by interment in the St. Nicholas R.C.C. Cemetery of Weatherly.
