Nancy L. Peterson, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, family matriarch, of Lake Harmony, Pennsylvania entered peacefully into the loving hands of her Lord on Thursday, January 14, 2021, at home surrounded by her beloved family, at 84 years of age.
Born Wednesday, December 2, 1936 in Rochester, New York. the daughter of the late Philip, and Elizabeth (Foery) Hafner. She was also predeceased by her husband Francis N. Peterson on April 10, 1993; daughter, Elizabeth F. Lutz; sisters, Marie Aubel, Virginia Hafner; brothers, Thomas, and Frederick Hafner.
Surviving are sons, Mark F. Peterson of West Hollywood, CA, Eric F. Peterson and his wife Nancy of Blakeslee, Scott F. Peterson and his wife Hilary of Dallas, John F. Peterson and his wife Diane of Jim Thorpe; daughters, Julie F. Marcoullier wife of John of Cape Neddick, ME, Mary F. Compagner wife of Doug of Grand Haven, MI, Nina F. Peterson wife of Sue Decker of Ottawa, Canada; brother, Robert Hafner of Webster, NY.; 16 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren. Many nieces, nephews and friends survive Nancy.
A devout member of St. Peter The Fisherman R.C.C. of Lake Harmony, Nancy graduated from Our Lady of Mercy High School in Rochester, NY. Nancy earned her B.S.N. in Nursing from Nazareth College in Rochester, NY. Nancy was a long tenured Nurse in the Med - Surg Dept. of Gnaden Huetten Hospital of Lehighton. Nancy was a member of the Nazareth College Alumni Assoc, and especially enjoyed going to lunch and socializing with her friends. Nancy enjoyed traveling to visit her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren all over the United States and Canada, running errands for Peterson Ski and Cycle, socializing and watching Nina, Eric and John play in the Peterson Band. She was an active member of St. Peter the Fisherman Roman Catholic Church and had unshakable faith.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday January 20, 2021 at 10 o'clock A.M. from St. Peter The Fisherman R.C.C. of 33 Trinity Circle Lake Harmony, Pennsylvania 18624. Monsignor Donald Chizmar to officiate.
