Karl Gustav Kropf, 91 of Weatherly, Pennsylvania passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Hazleton Campus in Hazleton, Pennsylvania.
Born Friday, April 11, 1930 in Gretzenbach, Switzerland the son of the late Albert Robert Kropf and Gertrud (Huerzeler) Kropf. Karl was also predeceased by siblings Robert and Hans Kropf.
Karl attended primary and secondary education in Switzerland. He completed an apprenticeship as a technical model builder and furthered his education as a shoe creator. He worked for the Swiss shoe company Bally in Paris, London and Milan and for Sterling Shoes in New York. He moved to Weatherly where he founded the American Last Technology Corp.
Karl is survived by many friends in Weatherly, especially those who joined him for breakfast. In Switzerland his relatives will always remember Karl as a generous uncle and cousin whose knowledge and ideas were so inspiring.
