Carl J. Yacovelli, 87 years of age of New Ringgold, Pennsylvania passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at St. Luke's University Hospital in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
Born Saturday, December 29, 1934 in Hazleton, Pennsylvania the son of the late Charles, and Alice (Evans) Yacovelli. He was also predeceased by his beloved wife Veronica (Dunn) Yacovelli on August 4, 2000; brothers, Robert, and William Yacovelli.
Surviving are son, Michael L. Yacovelli and his wife Sandy of Denver, PA,; daughter, Michele Beauchamp of Magnollia, TX, Reta McCay wife of Lewis of South Carolina; grandchildren, Nicole DeWald and her husband Kyle, Anthony Yacovelli, Nikole, and Brian McLaughlin; great grandchildren, Cole, Teira, and Avery; brother Charles Yacovelli.
Carl served his country honorably as a member of the United States Navy, serving during the Korean War, and the Vietnam Conflict. His career spanned 26 years.
Carl returned home to begin a life of work and volunteering. He retired from Kraft Foods of Allentown, and worked for many years for Charles S. Snyder of Tamaqua as a mechanic. He was a tremendous cook, and baker. Carl worked as the breakfast cook at Knepper's, and was currently baking for the restaurant once a week.
An active member of St. Peter's Church of Mantzville, Carl enjoyed making apple dumplings, and assisting in the kitchen. Carl was an avid hunter who butchered, and smoked his own game, canned fruits and vegetables. Carl was never one to rest. He contoured his property to his likening on the numerous tractors he owned. Carl was an animal lover, and enjoyed the companionship of his two beagles.

A Funeral service will be at 11 o'clock A.M. on Tuesday November 22, 2022 from the funeral home. Friends may call on the morning of services beginning at 9:30 A.M.
Interment will be in Odd Fellows, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania. Military Honors will be bestowed.
